Censorship Bypass Methods

Hello Friends, todays topic is about bypassing censorship in the areas where internet service is often blocked by the government or the Internet service provider. Today we will discus about some methods for both pc as well as mobile.

Method 1:- 

Proxy: 

This is the easiest way of block all you have to use a proxy in proxy setting. It can be of two types
1) HTTP/HTTPS
2) Socks

Proxy

It bypass all the censorship at the browser level. Some of the websites which provide free proxy servers are Nordvpn , Socks Proxy & Proxynova.
You can also bypass websites using online proxy websites without configuring your browser. Some top websites are Hidemyass , Clearlydrunk, Whoer etc

Notice: It is very easy for a webmaster or ISP to find the real ip of person behind the proxy server. Hence it is not recommended method.

Method 2:-

VPN:

This is another type by which you can bypass censorship. It can be used if your isp has blocked websites as well as some services like Whatsapp, Facebook app, uTorrent etc. There are many VPN softwares which can bypass the censorship.
Some of the best VPN softwares are

Hotspot Shield

Hotspot Shield PC or Hotspot Shield For Android

Psiphon for Windows PC or Psiphon for Android

Hola for Windows PC or Hola for Android

Method 3:

TOR:

Tor

This is one of the best method for the censorship bypass if you are a whistleblower, journalist, or working in defence. It is niether a proxy nor a VPN. It is an anoynmity network where users serve as nodes. All the data is encrypted before sending traffic through multiple nodes.

Method 4:

VPN over HTTP:

It is advanced method & also a restricted one. Lets say you went to a coffee shop where you get only 15 minutes of free wifi, after which you have to pay. Here you can bypass the premium services This method can also bypass Network Operators, where you have to pay for data, or if ISP has blocked internet in your area, except their own homepage or some important website.

Method 5:

DNS tunneling:

DNS tunneling is an advanced method of censorship bypass, if you are a beginner you must not use it. In this method all the data is encode & send through DNS queries. Since most of the ISP's dont block DNS request.

Here we can use these DNS queries to unblock websites & services. DNS tunneling is somewhat similar to Method 4 which is VPN over HTTP except the process.
