[Fixed] Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware [Solved]

Dear Friends, recently i wanted to do a fresh installation of windows 7 on my laptop & after going through half process, i was greeted with a error message "Widows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer hardware."

After going through many methods across the internet, atlast i was able to rectify the problem. It resides in the SATA hard drive controller menu, which is a setting of bios menu. All you have to change the SATA hardrive controller technology from RAID On to AHCI or ATA.

Procedure:

1)Restart your device.

2)Press F2( For dell, may vary with other companies) to open the bios menu.

3)Scroll down to the system configuration & Maximize it.
4)Here it will open many settings like Integrated NIC, Parallel Port etc.
5)Click on SATA operation as shown in pic.

6)Now select the AHCI from the right hand side as shown in pic.
7)Click apply & exit from the bios.
8)Now try to install your operating system again & hopefully it will fix the problem.
