Install Google Chrome on Kali Linux

Step 1 :
First of all we have to download and install it.

Enter these commands

#wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb
#dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb

Step 2:
Lets start to configure some files for run as root user...
You will use any text editor. But i want to use gedit app.

#apt-get update --fix-missing
#apt-get install gedit
#gedit /usr/bin/google-chrome

Add "--user-data-dir" (without the quotes) at the very end of the file. Mine looks like this

exec -a "$0" "$HERE/chrome" "$@" --user-data-dir

Save and close the file. 

Step 3:
Now you will run google-chrome browser from console. But i want to add it to Applications Menu.
Open Applications -> System Tools -> Preferences -> Main Menu application.
Add New Item under Internet category with name google-chrome, with command /usr/bin/google-chrome
you're done.
