Prevent Account From Being Hacked

Facebook has upped its own security since their start but you should use these tips to help prevent you
from any future damage that can happen to you.

1. The best way to prevent yourself from getting hacked on Facebook is to assign a mobile number to your account. This way if your account
is currently getting hijacked you can quickly solve the problem. There's no 100% solution as these days websites that you have visited
can inject code onto your computer that can get your password, but if you are always active and have alerts as soon as something happens,
you can prevent further damage caused.

2. Always remember to use use a strong password. Its not 1995 anymore and people should be able to think of a password that is similar
to their username. What is a strong password you say. I would say a strong password should contain a mix of variables, such as the use
of capitalisation, numbers, alternative characters as well as small letter. They should always be atleast 10 characters in length. With
a password like this, it is impossible for anyone to Facebook hack you!

3. Have a good antivirus that is kept up to date often. Everytime you update your anti-virus, hundreds if not thousands of threats are blocked
out, thus preventing virus's and other nasty things from hacking your Facebook

3. Always use different passwords for different websites. Using the same password for both your important websites and normal websites is
just silly! Gosh, then anyone has to do is guess that one password and you have made life so much easier for the other person.

4. Always check if it is the official website that you are logging on to. Imagine a website that looks exactly like Facebook. You probably
wouldn't know the differency unless you check the URL. The URL could be something totally different to Facebook's URL. This technique is actually
called phishing, and you could be the fish that is hunted!

5. Lastly, Don't add random people on Facebook. Think about it, you wouldn't go befriends with someone you didn't know in real life. Just because
it is the Internet you shouldn't go accept so many friend requests. The person could be from Greenland and you would never know. The person
could have maliscious intent, and you probably would also never know. Thats why you should always know who you add. You might say that
theres just as much chance that someone you know is going to Facebook hack you. Well thats true, but rather be safe than sorry!
